Ortega and Sons, Inc., doing business as The Camera Shop of Santa Fe (“Camera Shop,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), operates this website and the related retail, service, account, order, return, and government-quote experiences.

Information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we collect information you provide, including your name, email address, telephone number, shipping and billing address, account credentials, order and product information, service-request details, equipment serial numbers, return information, government or institutional purchasing details, communications, and choices about email or text updates.

Our systems also receive limited technical information needed to deliver and secure the service, such as request timestamps, IP address, browser or device information, security logs, and cart or session identifiers. Card details entered in checkout are collected directly by Stripe and are not stored by the Camera Shop website.

How we use information

• Respond to questions, availability requests, service requests, returns, and government or institutional requests.
• Create and administer accounts, carts, orders, payments, delivery, pickup, receipts, warranties, and support.
• Send requested transactional email or text updates and honor communication choices.
• Protect customers and the business, prevent fraud and abuse, troubleshoot, and maintain service reliability.
• Maintain tax, accounting, warranty, inventory, legal, and contractual records.
• Comply with applicable law and enforce our terms.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use public-form contents for targeted advertising. We do not knowingly use sensitive information submitted through public forms for advertising or unrelated profiling.

Service providers and disclosures

We disclose information only as needed to operate the requested service, protect rights and safety, complete a business transaction, or comply with law. Current provider categories include website hosting and infrastructure, commerce and order management, payment processing, transactional email, delivery and shipping, tax and accounting support, security and error monitoring, and professional advisers. Stripe processes card information under its own privacy terms. Service providers may use information only for the contracted service and their permitted legal obligations.

Cookies, storage, and analytics

The site uses necessary browser storage for functions such as carts, region selection, account or order continuity, security, and saved workflow state. We did not configure advertising pixels or optional audience analytics as of this policy version. If optional analytics is introduced, it will be described in the Cookies and site technologies notice and controlled through an appropriate privacy-choice mechanism before it is used where required.

Retention

We retain information for the period reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including providing the requested service, administering an account or transaction, resolving disputes, preventing fraud, and meeting tax, accounting, warranty, government-contract, recordkeeping, and other legal obligations. Retention varies by record type and legal requirement. When information is no longer needed, we delete it, de-identify it, or securely isolate it until deletion is possible.

Your privacy choices

You may ask to access, correct, or delete eligible personal information, withdraw a consent, or ask a question about our practices. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information, including encrypted transport, access controls, protected operational routes, security logging, and service-provider controls. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Please do not send passwords, full payment-card numbers, health information, classified information, controlled unclassified information, or other highly sensitive material through a public form.

Children

This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from a child under 13. A parent or guardian who believes a child submitted information may contact us to request review and deletion.

Changes to this policy

We will post material changes here with a new effective date and version. If a change requires additional notice or consent, we will provide it before the changed processing applies.
