Opened by Gene Autry on the Plaza.
The original Camera Shop of Santa Fe opened in 1937 at 109 East San Francisco Street, across from La Fonda. It sold cameras, accessories, film, and development at the center of Santa Fe.
Under Ortega family ownership, the shop continues from 1808 2nd Street, sharing space with Visions Photo Lab and supporting photographers, families, working creatives, national laboratories, and federal agencies.
The Plaza doors open
Gene Autry establishes the shop at 109 East San Francisco Street.
